Frequently asked Questions

What is included in your guided fishing trips?

- Valley Guide Service provides all bait, tackle, rods and reels.

- All fish will be cleaned and bagged for your trip home.

- Life jackets for adults are provided (not children).

- Knowledgeable river guide that is Insured, Coast Guard and  Fish & Game lic. and  advanced

First Aid certified through the Red Cross.

- Full day of  fishing with safety, education and enjoyment guaranteed.

What should I bring?

- Warm clothes and rain gear and rubber boots  if necessary.

                                                                                                         -Gun, shells Hunting License and waterfowl stamps for hunting trips

                                                                                                                                          - Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen.

- Large ice chest to bring your catch home in.

- Fishing license-Delta stamp/Salmon punch card/ or Steelhead tag where applicable.

- Proper P.F.D. (personal flotation device) for children.

- Lunch and beverages.

- Camera and film.

Do I have to be an experienced angler to expect results?

 No certainly not. Our techniques and fishing styles are geared for anglers of all types from beginner to expert. Valley Guide Service prides itself in making all of our guests comfortable and confident in there angling skills as well as coaching and helping individuals with hands on instruction. This is not " party boat fishing".

Can I bring my own tackle?

Certainly. This is your trip.  If you have a favorite rod & reel feel free to bring it along. We will let you know if it is applicable to the style of fishing at hand. If it is not, we will always have the original equipment on board.

What happens if the time for our trip comes along and the river is not fishable or fishing is slow?

We call a couple of days in advance of your trip to confirm, and at this time we will inform you of any circumstances that might warrant re-booking. You have the choice of  re-booking or a refund of your deposit at this time. We will be as honest with fishing conditions as we can be.

Do you have overnight accommodations?

We can set you up with the best accommodations to fit your budget. We have phone numbers of local Hotels, Bed and Breakfast's, and camping facilities.

Can you accommodate a large group?

Yes, we can put together trips of all sizes with advance notice. We only hire the best knowledgeable guides that fit our strict criteria. Fully lic. Insured, and experienced.
